Review by hotel critic
Nestled conveniently near Carnoustie Golf Course, our recent three-night stay at this hotel offered a blend of comfort and practicality. Traveling with my father, who has mobility challenges, I was pleased to discover the spaciousness of our rooms, which demonstrated thoughtful accommodation. The availability of housekeeping ensured cleanliness throughout our visit, contributing to a relaxing atmosphere. The location was prime, with a Co-op supermarket just a stone's throw away and the beach and train station within walking distance. A surprise highlight was the management's flexibility with our checkout time-thanks to a train cancellation. This gesture showcased their commitment to guest satisfaction. The hotel is equipped with decent amenities, including free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV, adding to the overall convenience. For those needing refreshment, the bar/lounge area serves as a comfortable retreat after a day of activities. Although I didn't indulge in the restaurant or entertainment options, the presence of a children's buffet suggests a family-friendly approach. When weighing luxury and value, this venue embodies a practical choice for families or individuals exploring the area. Should we find ourselves in this neck of the woods again, I wouldn't hesitate to return.
